Reputation & Thanks

So let's debate about reputation & the thanks button.

Do you get member's constantly telling other user's to +rep them and they find theirself -repped. Reputation can be known as Thank's also like we have based here for member's to show appreciation for member's, so what's your true opinion with reputation/thanks?

I think Reputation is a good thing to have. Simply put, I would rather listen to someone who had a higher reputation than someone who has only a couple or none. This doesn't mean I do not trust the lower person, just it's been shown that the person with the higher rep seems to be more on the ball about these things and can be trusted more than anything.

It's good to have a good rep, as overall everyone respects those people more and more, and they seem to be the most active and longer running member on the board.
